Zooming past mile marker number 3

At exactly 10:43 am today, the brush lifted in its last stroke to complete Step 3, making the Minifish a complete hull once again. Is it coincidence that the epoxy is presently curing in a breeze perfect for this little boat?

I have nothing left to say. It's all celebration because for the first time in 5+ years (I can confirm 5 years, probably closer to 10 years), this little boat can float without taking on gallons of water.

But we're not heading to the lake just yet. We have Step 4 to go-Finishing Fiberglass Surface- and many more steps after that.

Remember this damage?

and

This will be Step 6. When the boat heels, this damage will be in the water. Though it will be a small leak, it's a leak none the less.
Also, there are a few spots where the fiberglass is showing some stress, so I will need to relaminate those areas in Step 5.

The overall goal is for the Minifish to take her "After Repairs Maiden Voyage" in the best possible shape I can get her in. So this will need to be fixed.

So with glee, I check off Step 3 as completed. Step 4 is next!
